✅ Keep books in a clean, dry place, away from food, water, and pets.
✅ Use bookmarks instead of folding pages.
✅ Turn pages gently to avoid tearing.
2️⃣ Return in Good Condition

🔹 Books should be returned in the same condition as borrowed.
🔹 Minor wear is understandable, but major damage will require replacement or compensation.

If a book is damaged beyond normal use, the borrower must:
📌 Replace the book with a new/good-condition copy OR
📌 Pay a fee based on the severity of the damage:
📖 Minor Damage
Small tear, folded pages, light stains
No penalty, but request careful handling
📚 Moderate Damage
Torn pages, loose binding, writing inside
Repair fee (₹20-₹100)
❌ Major Damage
Missing pages, water damage, book unreadable
Must replace the book or pay its cost

If a book is lost, the member must provide a new/good-condition replacement or pay the book’s original price.
